Penile Circumcision
Penile circumcision is defined as the removal of the foreskin of the penis either fully or partly. Circumcision is word which is derived from a Latin word ‘circum’ which means ‘around’ and ‘cædere’ which means to ‘cut’. The traces of penile circumcision goes right back to the ancient history where the depictions of the male circumscision is found in the paintings in the caves.
In Judaism, male circumcision are considered to be the commandent of the god whereas in Islamic Religion it is widely practiced and is known as Sunnah though it is not mention in the Quran. According to the researches made around the world it can be noticed that around 30 people out of every 100 are circumcised and out of that 30 peopel 68% of people belogns to muslim community. Penile circumcision varies according to the reliogous beliefs or culture.
Some people favor circumcision as they believe that they are attached with important health advantages where as some people who are against the penile circumcision considers this as a very painful method which can affect the sexual life of the person and the risks of the infections are also very high to a circumcised men when compared to an uncircumcised men. Circumcision is done during the birth of the child or when the child grows a bit.
The foreskin is known to protect the penis from various infections but if there is not foreskin then the chances of the infections increases. The glans are exposed to the air and this will make them dry, sore, red spots will develop on the glans which will give the burning sensation to the glans and therefore circumcision can harm the penis and therefore the sexaul life of the person to some extent. Circumsicion is very popular among the Muslim countries.
